Lubavitch on the Palisades to Conduct JLI Course on Elections
Elections 2016: What Does Judaism Say? Join this brand new JLI course discussing two hotly debated topics of this year’s presidential election—gun control and immigration. This course will tackle these tough issues head-on by comparing how US law, contemporary Israeli law and Talmudic law approach these matters.
Rabbi Mordechai Shain of Lubavitch on the Palisades will conduct the CLE-accredited two-part course on Sept. 13 and 20 at 8 p.m., at 11 Harold Street, Tenafly.
Like all JLI programs, the Election Course is designed to appeal to people at all levels of Jewish knowledge, including those without any prior experience or background in Jewish learning. All JLI courses are open to the public, and attendees need not be affiliated with a particular synagogue, temple or any other house of worship.
